2. Brett Hanson, our new OA Troop Representative conducted elections for Order of the Arrow. The results of those elections will be announced during the OA ceremony during scout camp.
3. Scoutmaster Brad Jorgensen discussed preparedness for scout camp, and distributed a sample packing list for camp:
What to Bring to Camp:
- Boy Scout Handbook
- Cap/Hat
- Flashlight and extra batteries
- Insect Repellent (no aerosol cans)
- Long Sleeve Shirt and Long pants
- Medical form (required - give to Scoutmaster)
- Merit Badge Pamphlets (and any required fees and materials)
- Notebook/pens/pencils
- Pajamas / sleepwear
- Pillow
- Plenty of socks, shorts, underwear, T-shirts, shoes/boots (no open toed shoes are allowed except at the waterfront and in the shower).
- Pocket Knife / Totin' Chip

- Bag or Bed Roll

order to provide a quality outdoor experience, the use of personal electronic
devices, including
cellular telephones, by Scouts while at camp is discouraged.
4. Finally, we talked about the Personal Management merit badge. The badge requires a scout to keep track of their personal finances for 3 months. All scouts were given a printed form. An electronic version (highly recommended) will be distributed via email.
